Charles Robert Hodgson Jr

Charlie, 91, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2024, with his devoted wife by his side.  He was born to Charles and Bessie Hodgson in Gore Virginia.   He married his “darlin “LaVay on August 25, 1984.  They lived in Mahtomedi, Winchester Virginia, Kalispell Montana, and finally settled in Baxter, Mn. Charlie was an avid baseball enthusiast, especially the Texas Rangers. He was a proud member of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Union. He loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

He is survived by his wife of 39 years; stepchildren David (Amy) Main, Debra (Steve) West, Cathy (Lowell) Reither; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren with two more arriving soon. Also survived by his siblings; Betty Heusler, Conn Hodgson, Elta Watts, Roy Lee Hodgson, and Thelma Twigg.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles, and Bessie; siblings Elizabeth Spitzer, Martha Smith-Harrison, Ester Parrill, Harry Hodgson, and Vernon. 

Funeral Services will take place at 10 am on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Brenny Family Funeral Chapel of Baxter, MN. A visitation will take place one hour prior to services and interment will be at Minnesota Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. 

In lieu of flowers memorials to H.A.R.T. animal shelter in Brainerd are preferred.
