Charles Hanson

Charles ChuckHanson, age 72, of Pillager, passed away peacefully at his home late Monday, December 3, 2007. Charles Henry Hanson was born in Spirit Lake, Iowa on May 2, 1935. He was united in marriage to Sharon Saastamoinen in Brainerd on July 24, 1954. He was drafted into the US Army, where he served from 1958 to 1960. Following his honorable discharge he worked as a carpenter for Harold Knapper. He was employed by Maddens as a golf course groundskeeper for 18 years. Chuck loved his family deeply, and will be sadly missed.
He is survived by Sharon, his loving wife of 53 years; his daughter, Dena Dixon, of Pillager; a sister, Mildred Clarine, of Duluth; and three grandchildren, Travis and Tiffany Dixon. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Steven; and a sister, Evelyn Pietz.
