Charlene Mcallister

Charlene McAllister, age 56, of Backus, passed away Monday, December 19, 2011. She was born to Edwin and Stella Davis in Brainerd on September 26, 1955. Charlene married Maurice McAllister on June 16, 1973, in Pine River. She loved being surrounded by her grandchildren, and enjoyed camping, gardening and watching the baby calves on the farm.

Charlene worked for TDS for many years and most recently at Alco in Pine River. She also served on the Bull Moose Town Board for many years.

Charlene is survived by her husband, Maurice; sons: Richard (Carrie), Jason (Tanya); daughter, Cathy Larson (Craig); mother, Stella Davis; brother, Richard Davis; grandchildren: Austin, Tyler, Zack, Cole, Ryder, Thomas, Laura, Ryan, Kaylee, and Taylor; nephews: Tom Davis (Jolyn), Andrew Peppin, Bill Schultz (Lisa); nieces: Tracey Tulenchik (David), Ashley Peppin and Amy Stahnke (Justin); sisters-in-law: Connie Peppin (Pat), Alice Schultz (Jack); mother-in-law, Leola McAllister; many aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin.

Services will be 1 PM on Friday, December 23, at First Lutheran Church, Pine River, with Pastor Steve Ellerbusch officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, rural Pine River. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
