Chandra Johnson

Chandra D. Johnson, age 57, of Motley, died Wednesday, November 26th at St. Joseph's-Essentia Health Hospital in Brainerd. Funeral Services will be 1:00PM on Friday, December 5, 2014 at United Methodist Church in Motley, MN. Friends may call beginning at 12:00PM on Friday at the church. Interment will be at Motley Public Cemetery.

Chandra Delores Johnson was born on May 2, 1957 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, daughter of Clayton and Delores (Parker) Johnson. The family moved to Motley, MN, when Chandra was six years old and she grew up and was educated there, graduating from Motley High School in 1975. She moved to Newport News, VA and worked at Ball Metal Container in Williamsburg, VA, before returning to Motley. She was united in marriage with Kevin Worley on August 17, 1985 at the Motley United Methodist Church in Motley. They made their home in Brainerd. When their children were young, Chandra did daycare in the home. She worked as a CNA at Bethany for a time and also did home health care. She enjoyed nature, bird watching, ice fishing, and painting (both the art kind - paint by number and the home faux finish kind).

She is survived by her sons: Craig Worley of Baxter and Justin Worley of St. Cloud; granddaughter: Jizelle Worley; her mother: Delores Johnson of Baxter; siblings: Darryl (Connie Martin) Johnson of Gilroy, CA, Curtis (JoAnn) Johnson of St. Louis Park, Devona (Tyler) Mohler of Motley, and Caroline (Mark) O'Day of Brainerd. She was preceded by her father: Clayton; step-father: Allen; and daughter: Celeste Worley.
