Celina Schlegel

Celina (April) Schlegel, 53, of Brainerd, MN passed away unexpectedly with her husband by her side at Essentia-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd on Friday, July 28, 2017. Celina is now at home with God and by the side of her mother, Barbara Henning, and father, Thomas Ottley, whom went before her in death. Celina will be remembered dearly by those she preceded in passing, especially her faithful husband, Albert T Schlegel; step-daughters, Heidi (Hagen), Totti (Prudhomme), and Megan (Miller) along with their spouses, Dave, Joe and Eric, respectively, in addition to her 8 grandchildren; sister, Tiffany Henning (Petaluma, CA) and brother, Andy Henning (San Francisco, CA); as well as many extended family members and close friends, both near and far, whom experienced the privilege of sharing life with her along the way. Those who had the honor of meeting Celina once, would not forget her. She was adored most for her love of a good game (whether ping pong, monopoly, or made up on her own accord) and proving there is always a way of finding the glass half full and believing in everything despite the circumstances. Her guidance, boldness, and confidence were inspiring and unforgettable. Celina would want those left behind to remember all things work together for good to those who love God and to those who are called according to His purpose. A private celebration with family and friends is planned. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
