Celeste Danielson

Celeste S. Danielson, 95, of Baxter, MN died on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Good Samaritan Village-Bethany in Brainerd, MN. Services for Celeste will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 11:30AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Willmar, MN with visitation one hour prior to services at the church.

Celeste was born on January 6, 1921 in Madison, MN to Frank and Mary (Graser) Erdmann. She attended school in Madison before moving to Chicago to live with her sister. She married Albert Danielson in Chicago, IL. After his passing in 1969, Celeste worked at Raymond Hardware as a clerk. Later she married Alvin Roelofs and moved to Coolidge, Arizona. Celeste moved into Excelsior Place in Baxter in 2009. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, sewing, gardening, playing cards, and bingo. Most importantly she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Celeste was a Kandiyohi County Citizen of the year, an alter society member, den mother for Cub Scouts, and taught religious education for many years. Celeste opened The Crest Shoppe in her house where she sold religious and other gifts. She delivered Meals On Wheels. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Raymond, MN, St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Willmar, MN, and attended St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Brainerd, MN.

Celeste is survived by her children, Mary Kay (Bernard) Asche of Chino Valley, AZ, Ronald Danielson of Sedro Woolley, WA, Danny (Shirley) Danielson of Motley, MN, Kathy (Don) Molenaar of Raymond, MN, and Debra Rojas of Troutdale, OR; and special friend, Bonae Stohr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary; husband, Albert Danielson and ex-husband, Alvin Roelofs; granddaughter, Krista Fann; sisters, Margaret, Frances, Cecilia, and Helen; and brothers, Leo, Edwin, William, and Raymond Erdmann. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Gillette Children's Hospital or a memorial of your choice. ArrangementsArrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
