Cecelia Piasecki

Cecelia Ann Piasecki, age 101, of Brainerd passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 at Edgewood Vista in Brainerd. Funeral services will be Friday, October 7, at 1 PM, at Edgewood Vista. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Holy Family Cemetery in Bulldog Lake.

Cecelia was born in Harding on January 26, 1915, to the late Michael and Catherine (Wiczek) Deering. She married Stanley F. Piasecki in 1935. Together, they operated a dairy farm in Garrison Township until their retirement. Stanley passed away in February of 2001. Cecelia loved listening to Stanley’s polka band, gardening, sewing, and watching wildlife around the farm. She moved to Edgewood Vista in Brainerd in 2009.

Left to cherish Cecelia’s memory are her daughter, Marcella “Sally” D. Link, of Brainerd; granddaughter, Carla J. (Marty) Wheeler; grandson, Timothy A. (Ann) Link; great-granddaughter Hilliary Jo Mitchell, and great-great-granddaughter, Cora Lynn Mitchell. Cecelia is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stanley; a son, Stanley, Jr.; a son-in-law, Carl Link; and eight brothers and sisters.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all those at Edgewood Vista who showed such compassion and love while caring for their beloved “Cece”.
