Catherine(Arens)Blaeser, age 94, of Pequot Lakes, formerly of St. Paul, died peacefully at the home of her son Joe and dtr-in-law, Geri. Catherine?s Faith, her love for family, friends, and her awe and respect for all of nature sustained her; keeping her in good humor and giving her a zest for life. Friends and family gravitated around her loving and playful spirit. One of her many passions were for the poor. She made thousands of quilts to keep them warm and contributed what she could to feed and cloth them. An industrious, valiant, vibrant woman who made this world a better place.
Survived by her children: Kathleen (Roger) Riedl, Joanne (Donald) Dufour, Joe(Geri)Blaeser and Mary Burke and her sisters: Irene Olscheske, Evelyn Larson and Mildred Lanoue. She has 23 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph, her son Larry, grandson Brian Dufour, son-in-law, Dr. Roger Burke, Sr., sister, Margaret Fox and brother Clarence Arens.
Mass of Christian Burial at St. Matthew?s Catholic Church on Dec 23 at 11 am - 490 Hall Ave., St. Paul. Visitation one hour prior to Mass at the church. Private interment. Memorials preferred to Food For The Poor and St. Matthew?s Fish and Loaf?s Program. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
