Cassandra Kruger

Cassandra Marie Kruger, 28, of Brainerd, passed away March 28, 2018 at her home. Services will be held at 4 PM, Friday, April 6, 2018 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services.

Cassy was born May 24, 1989, in Brainerd, the daughter of Kirk Nelson and Marie Kruger. Cassy was an amazing woman who displayed a lot of strength during many of life’s struggles. She loved to make people laugh and always saw the best in everyone. She could always put a smile on your face.

She will be missed by her children, Dawson Duane and Carmello Quinn; parents, Marie Kruger (Mike Johnson), of Crosby and Kirk Nelson (Nicole Lucas); siblings, Sammantha Jo Kruger, of Minneapolis, Rebecca Ashley (Jamie) Kirwin, of North Dakota, Amanda Cowan, of Brainerd, Noah Michael Scanlon, of Claire City, Michiah Ray Johnson, of Zimmerman, McKayla Renae Johnson, of Inver Grove Heights, Braydon Jotham, of Brainerd, and Levi Lucas, of Brainerd; and grandmas, Carol Kruger and Diann Nelson, both of Brainerd; Carmello and Dawson’s grandparents, Deb and Dale Ruehling; an inspiration to Cassy, Kim Hanson; and all of her misfit friends. She was preceded in death by her grandpas, Duane Kruger and Darrold Nelson.
