Carole Catherine Rusch was born September 2, 1933 in Jamestown, North Dakota, to Julius and Margaret (Steffl) Rusch. Growing up during the depression, her family moved about to find work, eventually coming to live in St. Louis Park, where Carole graduated high school. On June 21, 1951, shortly after graduation, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, John ?Jack? Riordan. They lived, worked, and raised their children in St. Louis Park. In addition to caring for her home and family, Carole worked in the shipping and receiving departments of several St. Louis Parks businesses, including Offset Printing and Professional Instruments. While her children were growing, Carole was an active volunteer in their activities. She had been a member of the Lions for over 29 years, and was an active member of the Helping Hands group of Fifty Lakes. Always thinking of others, she was quick to volunteer her time and services. Beginning with a trip to Hawaii on their 25th wedding anniversary, Carole and Jack traveled extensively. They visited nearly every continent and many, many countries.
Carole is survived by Jack, her husband of 54 years; her children, Linda Morris (Jim Harms), of St. Louis Park, Tim Riordan, of Crystal, Dan Riordan, of Princeton, Wendy (Steve) Kuntz, of Crystal, and Lisa (Joe) Young, of Zimmerman; 7 grandchildren and 1 step-grandchild; and siblings John Rusch, Jean Bonhoff, and Margaret Johnson. Her parents and a sister, Joan Manderfeldt, preceded her in death.
