Carol Ann (Peterson) Musselman, 81, passed away on Sunday, April 20th . She was born in Pelican Rapids, MN, on October 13th, 1943, to Ingemar and Gladyce (Skaalstad) Peterson. She graduated from Pelican Rapids high school in 1961 and went on to St. Olaf college in Northfield, MN, where she graduated with degrees in both Art and Phy-ed. After graduation, she became a high school teacher of both subjects, first in Osakis, MN, and then moving to Pequot Lakes, MN, and teaching there as well. Pequot Lakes is also where she met Jack Musselman whom she married on July 1st, 1969, in Deadwood, SD.
She enjoyed spending her winters living in Key Lago, FL by the ocean each year but would always come back every summer to Minnesota and the natural beauty of the lakes country that she loved. Carol and her husband were also avid Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiasts and shared a love for riding through the woodlands of Northern Minnesota. She always had a great love for art since childhood and made a very successful career as an independent artist selling her work at art shows and doing individually commissioned work all over the country.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her sister, Joline (Peterson) Kringler, her niece, Reigan Kringler of Colorado Springs, CO, and nephew, Rod Kringler of Hawley, MN
