Carol Kort

Carol Kort, 76, of Pillager, MN passed away on January 10, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Carol was born to Milton and Joy (Carpenter) Mertala on August 5, 1947 in Park Rapids, MN.

She worked for many years at Madden’s Resort. Carol enjoyed visiting with many of her friends, and family. Her family and friends meant the world to her.

Carol is survived by her children Tammy (Jim) Myrick, Gina (Mitch) Tavares, and Tashia Birkholtz; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; sisters Bonnie Head, Nancy Bell , Jackie Diederich; and brother David Scheper. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Jeremy Jylka, and daughter Tracy Jylka.

Arrangements have been entrusted with Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
