Carol Eveland

Carol Elaine Eveland passed into the presence of the Lord and her Savior at the Good Samaritan Society, Pine River, on April 10, 2015, at the age of 85. She was born in Backus to Ray and Flora (Arbogast) Eveland on September 1, 1929. At a very young age she invited Jesus Christ into her life. She graduated from Backus High School and went on to Northwestern Bible School in Minneapolis. She then began work at Metropolitan Rapid Transit for over 30 years until her retirement. She then moved back to her hometown of Backus.

Carol was always involved in her church and taught Sunday School and young ladies groups, teaching them sewing, cooking and personal care. In later years she was involved in Christian Women's Club.

Carol is survived by brothers, Duane (Donna), Donald (Mary) and sister, Mona Bean, all of Backus, and brother Larry (Elizabeth) of Brazil; sisters-in-law, Fern, Irene and Sandra; many many nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Services will be 1 PM on Wednesday, April 15, at Mildred Bible Chapel, rural Backus. Burial will follow at Mildred Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
