Carol Jean Anderson, born on December 11, 1947, was called home to be with her Lord on December 3, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Her passing marks the end of a beautiful earthly journey, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched. Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, whose warmth and kindness were a testament to her deep faith and love for others.
Carol's life was a tapestry woven with love and devotion, beginning with her marriage to her beloved husband, David Wm Anderson, on June 14, 1975. Together, they built a life rich in love and cherished memories, a reflection of their shared faith and commitment to one another. Their union was blessed with children who were the light of Carol's life: Kelly Anderson, Sarah (Charlie) Riley, Jesse Anderson, and Joseph (Allison) Umberger. Her legacy of love continues through her grandchildren Brett (Genny), Kelsey, Jacqueline, Taylor, Brooke, Lauren, Bennett, Reese, and her great-grandson Kenny, all of whom she adored deeply.
Carol's life was a testament to her faith, which she expressed through her actions and her love for her family and community. She had a passion for cooking, baking, and knitting, often sharing her creations as a form of love and service. Her joy in these activities was a reflection of her gratitude for the blessings she received and her desire to share them with others. Carol found peace and joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as traveling to Florida, basking in the sunshine, and spending time at the lake.
Her exceptional hosting skills were legendary among family and friends, always ensuring her guests felt welcome and cherished. Carol's hospitality was an extension of her faith, a way to share God's love with others. She enjoyed dining out, particularly savoring pizza at Moonlight Bay, sushi at Yumi's, and breakfast at the Pancake House, where she often gathered with loved ones to share a meal filled with laughter.
Carol's faith was not only personal but also communal. She was deeply involved in her church community, where she expressed her devotion through acts of service. She knitted hats for the homeless, made prayer shawls for church members and baptisms, and helped run the quilting lady's group at church. This group made, donated, and delivered quilts to the homeless, a ministry that brought warmth and comfort to those in need, reflecting Carol's compassionate heart and her commitment to living out her faith in tangible ways.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Marie Taylor, her brother Richard Taylor, her sister Jane Ostergaard, and her daughter Kelly Anderson, along with many other beloved family members. Though their absence was deeply felt, Carol found solace in her faith, believing in the promise of eternal life and the hope of reuniting with her loved ones in the presence of the Lord.
Her memory will be forever cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her. Carol's life was a testament to love, family, and friendship, and she will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. Her faith journey was an inspiration, a reminder of the power of love and the peace that comes from a life lived in service to others and in devotion to God.
As we bid farewell to Carol, we take comfort in knowing that she is at rest in the arms of her Savior, her spirit free and her soul at peace. Her legacy of love and faith will continue to guide and inspire us, reminding us of the beauty of a life well-lived and the promise of eternal life. May her memory be a blessing, and may we find comfort in the knowledge that she is now in the presence of the Lord, where there is no pain, only joy and everlasting peace.
