Candice Holmberg

November 12, 1949 — July 21, 2018

Candice “Candi” Holmberg, 68, of Motley, MN peacefully passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018 surrounded by her family and friends. Services for Candi will be at 4:00PM, Thursday, July 26, 2018 at the Motley Free Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 2-4PM on Thursday at the church.

Candi was born November 12, 1949 in St. Paul Park, MN to Robert and Celestine (Pesek) Johnsen. She attended school in Minneapolis. Candi was united in marriage to Larry Holmberg on May 22, 1971 in Sisseton, SD. She worked at Maddens Resort for 12 years; and Trident Seafoods in Motley for over 20 years. Candi enjoyed her flower gardens, traveling, camping, shopping at Christmas Point, and spending time with her family and friends.

Candi is survived by her husband, Larry of 47 years; children, Dawn Holmberg of Pillager, Darin Holmberg of Staples, Tim (Christina) Holmberg of Motley; grandchildren, Taiya, Dalton, Emma, Alexander, Lilly; brother, Rod Johnsen; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Celestine; sister, Linda; brother, Billy; nephews, Brian and Robert. Services have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
