Camden Robert Weston McConnell

On November 8, 2024, at 2:04pm, heaven gained an angel, our precious son, Camden Robert Weston McConnell. He passed away in his mother’s loving arms at only 48 days old, after battling Pulmonary Atresia with Intact Ventricular Septum, a heart defect.

In honor of his short and mighty life, parents Paul McConnell and Brittani Weston invite you to join a memorial service on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Park United Methodist Church in Brainerd at 11AM. A visitation where we can share stories, love, and the beauty of the time we had together will take place one hour prior to the service. As part of this service, we ask that those who wish to participate bring a stuffed animal or a baby blanket to donate to the Ronald McDonald House, an organization that provides comfort and support to families with sick children. This small gesture in memory of Camden will help bring comfort to others in need.

Camden was born on September 21, 2024, at the Mother Baby Center in Minneapolis. The name Camden means limitless bravery and bold, and during his stay at the Children’s Hospital he was affectionately known as little fighter, warrior, and strong. Though his time with us was brief, it was filled with immense love, joy, and the purest form of innocence.

Camden is survived by his parents Brittani Weston and Paul McConnell; grandparents Sara Weston and Dave Lox, and Joy Pfoser and Brandon Rathbun; great-grandparents Janie and Robert Weston, Sandy and William Pfoser; Aunts Alexis Weston and Haley McConnell; great Uncle Jon Weston and great Aunt Leigh (David) Wallmann; and many cousins and other family members.

A special thank you to all the doctors, surgeons, nurses, and caretakers at Children’s Hospital for treating Camden like their own child, and the Ronald McDonald House on Oak Street for the support and comfort while we were there.
