C. Abell

C. Wayne Abell, 83, of Breezy Point, MN died at his home on Monday, June 23, 2014. Private Family Services will be held at Pelican Woods Cemetery in Breezy Point, MN.

Wayne was born on December 26, 1930 in Minneapolis, MN to Cleon and Erna (Fiedler) Abell. He was raised in Minneapolis. Wayne married Marjorie Wagner in Minneapolis, MN on July 17, 1954. They lived in Worthington for a short time before moving back to Bloomington. Wayne worked for Abbott Northwestern in the hospital finance department for 33 years. Upon retirement Marge and Wayne moved to Weavers Point in Breezy Point. Wayne served 2 years in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and in 2000, was Crow Wing County Senior Volunteer of the Year. Later that year he was awarded the State of Minnesota Senior Volunteer of the Year.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Marge; son, Scott (Rhonda); son-in-law, Erik Tolvstad; grandchildren, Leah, Nate, and Nikki; sister, Eileen Jung; niece, Nora; and nephew, Todd. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Wendy Jo Tolvstad; and grandson, Lance Abell. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
