Byron Benesh

Byron Lee Benesh, 71, of Pine River, MN passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, October 17, 2016 at his home. Services for Byron will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services and to stay for a luncheon following.

Byron was born on June 23, 1945 on a dairy farm in Ada. He is the son of Arnold and Elizabeth (Dittmer) Benesh. Following his high school graduation, Byron became a truck driver - a career that took him over two million miles. He married Rosalyn Berger, and later Vicki Steele. Byron was a member of the Pine River and Backus Lions Clubs and liked to volunteer for the annual Blue Grass Festival. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and snowmobiling, as well as going to auctions. He was always willing to lend a hand to neighbors and near by farmers with their annual crops or machinery.

Byron will be missed by his sons, Todd, Troy (Marcia), and Travis; granddaughters, Zoie and Madison; siblings, Dwight, John, Erich, Lance, Charlotte, and Paula; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wives, Rosalyn and Vicki.
