Bryn Hartwig

Bryn Robert Hartwig, age 65, passed peacefully in his home in Breezy Point on August 18, 2022.

Bryn was born September 5, 1956 in Brainerd, MN. He attended Brainerd High School and wasted no time after graduation turning every big dream into reality. After attending Staples Technical College, he enjoyed a successful career measuring life to the millionth of an inch for several prominent organizations as well as his own company. His accomplishments were driven by his love for family, wanting to provide the best adventures and experiences for his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; pursuing countless skillful hobbies such as his private pilot’s license, real estate, cross-country RVing, restoring his Century Arabian, boating on Pelican Lake, and “finally becoming a Greek” when baptized into the Greek Orthodox faith and serving on the Parish Council at his beloved St. Mary’s Greek Orthodox church.

Instead of dwelling on loss, Bryn would like his family, friends, and community to take a moment together on the next clear night and look for him among the stars, where he is pain-free and reunited with dearly missed family, friends, and pets.

Bryn was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hartwig; mother, Joan Hartwig; and pets, Dusty and Kitty. He is survived by his wife and co-captain of 29 years, Nancy Aspros; children: Chad, Brynna, Claire, Alex, Eryn and fur baby Luna: grandchildren: Alexandra, Jack, Taylor, and Tori; great granddaughter, Grayce; sisters, Elissa and Heather and their families.

A service will be held at Kline Funeral Home in Pequot Lakes, MN on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 1:00 PM followed by a burial ceremony at Pelican Woods Cemetery and celebration of life at Bryn and Nancy’s home nearby. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
