Bryan Anderson, age 64, passed away at the St. Cloud VA Care Center on Sunday, February 12, 2012. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 17th, at 1:30 PM, at the Camp Ripley Chapel. Visitation will begin at 12:00. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veteran's Cemetery.
Bryan was born on June 23, 1948, in Brainerd, MN, to Roland and Mardell (Nubbe) Anderson. He grew up in Pillager until the age of 14, when he moved to Motley, to live with his sister's family. After graduating from Motley, he joined the US Army on September 26, 1966. He spent one year in Vietnam. On September 20, 1975, he married Sharon Larson, and they had two children. They later divorced. Bryan loved spending time with family and friends, fishing, hunting, having BBQ's, and gardening.
Bryan is survived by his children, Ryan (Erin) Anderson of Beaverton, OR and Aleshia Anderson of White Bear Lake; grandsons, Trenton, Peyton, and Jack; brothers, Roland (Marie) of Pillager, Rockne of Brainerd, and Gregory (Beverly) of Franklin, KY; sister Karen (Thomas) Zetah of Pillager; sister-in-law, Verly Anderson of Detroit Lakes; several nieces and nephews; and former wife Sharon. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Jeffery; brother, Michael; and nephew, Kenneth Anderson.
