Arthur “Bruce” Zarn, 66, of Brainerd, passed away April 15th at St. Joseph’s Hospital of Brainerd, Minnesota. Bruce was born May 20, 1954 to Isabelle (Nelson) and Arthur Zarn of Fort Ripley. Upon graduating Brainerd High school in 1972, Bruce moved to Fargo, North Dakota where he worked for a number of years and then moved to Indiana for a short time before returning to Brainerd Lakes Area in 1995 where he retired after working at Menards. Bruce enjoyed fishing, spending time with family, was a dedicated fan of the Minnesota Vikings, an occasional fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, and enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins.
He is survived by his sisters Shirley Lusk, Arlene (Bruce) Brubaker, his nieces and nephews Carol Brubaker, Bruce Brubaker, Barrett Ballinger, Dewayne Collins Jr., Stacie Bednarek, Chris Brubaker, Roxanne Rankin, and many great nieces and nephews. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Charlotte (Zarn) Collins, his great nephew Linden Bednarek.
Visitation for Bruce will be from 5 to 7 PM, Tuesday, April 27th at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, with the service to be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, April 28th at Zion Lutheran Church in Brainerd, with visitation for one hour prior.
