Bruce Flagg Alderman, 65, of Baxter, died Tuesday, May 23, 2017at his home. Services for Bruce will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services and to stay for a luncheon to follow in Brenny Funeral Chapel Reception Room.
Bruce was born July 23, 1951, in Brainerd. He was the son of Robert and Betty (Schierholtz) Alderman. After graduating from Brainerd High School and Arizona State University he earned his Juris Doctor Degree from Hamlin University in Saint Paul. He joined his father at Alderman Law Office where he practiced family law before accepting a position with Crow Wing County Attorney’s Office. He retired in 2016.
Bruce was united in marriage to Patricia Guin on December 29, 1981. The couple raised three children. Bruce enjoyed the peace he found outdoors – whether watching the ocean waves, gardening, doing yard work or bird-watching. He also was never too far from his IPad. Bruce loved his family and he cherished spending time with them.
He will be missed by his wife, Patricia; daughters, Jennifer Alderman, of Pillager and Brittney (Tony Swenson) Alderman, of Baxter; son, Nathan Alderman, of Brainerd; brothers, Robert and David Alderman; grandchildren, Kylin, Shay, Gage, Gunnar, Olivia, and Alanah; great-grandchild, Carson; and his mother-in-law, Janet Guin and her family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
