Bridget Maine

Bridget Louise (Houghtaling) Maine, 62, of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, passed away, peacefully, on October 4, 2022, surrounded by her family after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Bridget was born in Saginaw, Michigan, on August 19, 1960. She spent her early years in Saginaw before moving to Alaska, where she met her husband, Westal Maine. They were united in marriage on November 7, 1985, in Oklahoma. Westal and Bridget made their home in Birch Run, Michigan, for twenty years where they raised their five children. Bridget spent her remaining years alongside her husband and family in rural Pequot Lakes, Minnesota.

Bridget is survived by her husband, Westal Maine; her children: Jamie, Aaron (Michelle), Westal (Jackie), Austin (Jenni), and Travis; eight grandchildren; sisters: Bonnie, Sue, and Dawn; mother-in-law, Marian; sisters-in-law: Merrilee, Wendy, Laura, and Dawn; brothers-in-law: Boyd, Mike, and Greg; many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 to 5 PM on Saturday, October 29, at Pleasant Hill Community Church, rural Pequot Lakes.
