Brad Hermsen

August 23, 1956 — January 17, 2013

Brad Hermsen, age 56, passed away on January 17, 2013. A memorial gathering to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday February 9, 2013. Visitation with the family will be at 1:00, and the service will begin at 2:00 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Randall, MN with Pastor Jarrol Cole officiating. All who knew and loved Brad are invited to attend and share memories of him.
Brad was born on August 23, 1956, in Minneapolis, MN to Bernard and Loyce Hermsen. He lived in Minneapolis before moving to Randall, MN in 1966. Brad graduated from Little Falls Community High School, where he was a member of the track team, baseball team and was #23 on the Flyer's football team. Brad was awarded a football scholarship to North Dakota State University and majored in architecture. Brad went on to have a successful career as an airbrush artist, working in many states across the country. Brad had many passions including, design, building, hunting, gardening, and was famous for his ongoing trips to the boundary waters.
His father, Bernard, precedes him in death. He is survived by his sons, Brandon Hermsen (Minneapolis), and Brice Hermsen (Minneapolis), his mother, Loyce Moss (Daniel Island, SC), his sister Camille Hermsen (Daniel Island, SC), and his significant other, Sheryl Skully (Edina).
Heartfelt appreciation and thanks to Brad's many friends, Park-Nicolette Methodist Hospital, and to the Park Nicollet Frauenshuh Cancer Center who all supported Brad and brightened his journey through his battle with cancer over the last 9 months.
