Bonnie Weyer

Bonnie Weyer, 81, of Brainerd, MN, passed away peacefully Wednesday April 9th surrounded by her loved ones.

Bonnie was born March 21st, 1944, in Eau Claire, WI to Bettie and Walter Tellstrom. She was the oldest of 5 kids and graduated from Eau Claire High School in the spring of 1962. Bonnie married Eugene Weyer on June 16th, 1962, in St. Paul MN. They made their home on a farm in Boy River MN, where they raised their 4 children. Bonnie attended college in Grand Rapids and graduated in May 1988. While in college Bonnie had a few of her poems published. Bonnie loved to spend her time sewing, gardening, cooking, reading, and watching the birds. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Bonnie enjoyed her time working with the Hobo Club. Her favorite time of year was being in the Hobo Day's parade labor day weekend. Bonnie enjoyed the years she worked as the cook at Jerry’s Bar in Boy River, MN, before retiring to Brainerd, MN to be closer to family.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Clayton Weyer, Bonita Weyer, Cindy (Jeff) Miller. Grandchildren, Andy (Melissa) Miller, Crystle (Ali) Gerdes, Cody Thomsen, Zach (Amanda) Roquet, Shylo (Cody) Vredenburg. Sisters, Ann Bergman and Sue (Dave) Campbell. Brother Gene Tellstrom. 12 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Bonnie in proceeded in death by her parents Bettie and Walter, her estranged husband Eugene Weyer, Son Vern (Punky) Weyer, Brother Bob Tellstrom, Grandson Jason Miller, Sister-in-law Pam Novik, Brother-in-law Duane Bergman.

A Celebration of Life will be held May 10th, 2025 from 1-4 at the Boy River Community Center.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
