Bob Erickson

Bob Erickson, 64, of Brainerd, died Wednesday, August 01, 2007 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, MN. Funeral Services are scheduled for noon on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with Reverend Father Gabriel Waweru officiating. A visitation will begin Saturday morning at 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
Robert Leo Erickson was born March 8, 1943 in Oseola, WI, the son of Ted and Alvina (Fallis) Erickson. At an early age Bob moved with his family to Minneapolis. He graduated from Vocational High School. For more than 30 years, Bob drove truck for Ryerson Steel Manufacturing. Bob was united in marriage to Marlene Serota November 29, 1982. He retired in 1995. The couple summered at Upper South Long Lake since 1987 and has resided there permanently since 2004. Bob was most fond of his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and his Harley.

Bob will be missed by his wife, Marlene; his children, Jeff (Donni) Carlson, of Mahtomedi, MN, and Joni Carlson, of Minneapolis; seven grandchildren; his mother, Alvina Erickson, of Deerwood; his brother, Jim Erickson, of Deerwood; his sisters, Loretta Hurley, of Brooklyn Park, MN and Barbara Lynch, of Brainerd, MN; many nieces and nephews; and his special buddy, Gizmo.
