Blake Wheeler Herman, lovingly known as “Blakey Boy,” passed away tragically on December 9, 2024. Born on December 30, 2005, Blake brought joy and light to everyone fortunate enough to know him during his nearly 19 wonderful years.
Blake’s life revolved around his passions: hunting, fishing, snowboarding, and embracing the lake life. Whether spending time outdoors or cherishing moments with his girlfriend Kylah and her family, his younger sister Kaydence, and his many close friends and family. Blake’s zest for life was infectious.
A proud and dedicated worker, Blake found immense joy at Wheeler Marine, where he installed docks during the summer and lent a helping hand in the shop whenever needed. The team there is his second family. Blake was also deeply committed to building a future with Kylah, pouring his heart into the home they were creating together.
Blake was the center of his family’s world – a hard worker, kind-hearted, funny, and always the life of the party. He was a role model to his younger sister, Kaydence, and a beloved cousin to Bennett, Emery, Micah, Parker, Hank, Millie, and Mack.
Blake is survived by his loving parents, Blaire and Kevin Pliscott; his sister, Kaydence; his biological father, Jeremy; his grandparents, Steve and Erin Herman, Gary and Sonja Pliscott and Debbie Herman; Great Grandmother Martina Herman; his Aunt Kacie (Chad) Wottreng and her family; his Uncle Drew (Teresa) Herman and his family; his Aunt Courtney (Jay) Franz and her family; his Godparents, Todd and Laura Wheeler, and the entire Wheeler family.
He is preceded in death by Deven Wheeler and Alyssa Wheeler, whose memories Blake always held close to his heart.
A celebration of Blake’s life will be held on December 21, 2024, at the Salem Lutheran Church in Longville.
Blake’s legacy of kindness, generosity, and passion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, all memorial funds will go into an account to assist his sister Kaydence for the future.
