Beverly Hines

Beverly Hines, 64, of Brainerd, passed away Monday, October 11, 2010 at her home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with Deacon Roger Marks officiating. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Pillager, MN.

Beverly was born October 20, 1945 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Harry and Marie (Weyland) Ostrand. Beverly was raised in Chicago and after graduating from high school worked at the Mars Candy Factory. In 1976, she moved to the Brainerd area where she owned and operated Dellwood Bar and worked in a young girls group home. Beverly enjoyed bowling, which is where she met Joe Hines. She also liked to play video games (she was a real pro), make crafts, sew and bake. She was an avid collector and her biggest collection was of giraffes. She also collected hand fans.

She will be missed by her husband of 25 years, Joe; her children, Denise (Glen) Pierce, Holly (Todd) Kramer, and William (Lori) Albrecht; eight grandchildren, Crystal, Kim, Randy, Sarah, Brittne, Makayla, Sadie, soon to be William Arthur (due October 21); two great-grandchildren, Ozzi and Eli; and her brother, Ralph (Joyce) Ostrand; and many nieces and nephews.
