Betty Wicht

Betty Lou Wicht, age 79, of Verndale Minnesota, passed away on January 24, 2022 at the Lakewood Care Center in Staples. Mass of Christian Burial for Betty will be held on Wednesday February 23, 2022 at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples. There will be a visitation held on Tuesday February 22, 2022 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Staples, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Interment will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.

Betty was born on October 19, 1942 in Thomastown Twp to Andrew and Margaret (Jensen) Winter. In June 1959, she was united in marriage to Emil ‘Paul’ Wicht, and they enjoyed 62 happy years together.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, flowers, trips to the casino, and was known to always have her hair fixed beautifully.

Betty is survived by her husband, Paul, her children Paul Jr, Rita Seffner, Craig, and Jeffery, and four grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Dwaine, and her sister Elaine.

Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples.
