Betty Pelzl

Betty Ann "Tina" Pelzl, age 85, of Pine River, passed peacefully into Heaven Saturday, August 6, 2016. She was born to Anders and Anna Pearson on March 4, 1931, in Grand Rapids, MN. Tina attended Gustavus Adolphus College for one year then the University of Minnesota where she studied Home Economics. She married Chuck Pelzl on December 29, 1951, in Minneapolis. They joined Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in 1956 when they moved to Pine River. Tina was employed as a secretary at the Pine River Clinic for many years. Her greatest calling and joy was being a wife, mother and grandmother.

Tina is survived by her husband, Chuck; children: Brock (Jodi Nelson), Barb Goochey (Darrel), Roger (Maria), Bob; sister-in-law, Vi Koral; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, George "Bob" Pearson; and sister, Marian Merwin.

Services will be 11 AM on Thursday, August 11, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Pequot Lakes. Burial will be in Norwood Cemetery, Rural Pine River. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
