Betty Kempenich

Betty A. Kempenich, 73, of Crosslake, formerly of Brooklyn Park, died on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Golden Horizons in Crosslake, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 24, 2012 at Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Crosslake, MN with Father Ryan Moravitz officiating. Visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Interment at Pinewood Cemetery in Crosslake, MN.

Betty was born on October 21, 1939 in Brainerd, MN to Ole and Alma (Kjos) Boe. She married Doug Kempenich in 1961 in Crosslake, MN. Betty loved to read and cook. She also enjoyed knitting.

Betty will be sadly missed by her sons, Steve (Tracey) Kempenich of Stillwater, MN, and Mike (Peo) Kempenich of Brooklyn Park, MN; daughter, Lori Spiers of Fort Myers, FL; brothers, Ruhl and Jerry Boe both of Crosslake, MN and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ole and Alma; husband, Doug; and four sisters. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
