Betty Bartel

Betty A. Bartel, age 88, of Pine River went peacefully in her sleep to be with the Lord on June 5, 2012. Born to Charles and Dorthea Jones on September 1, 1923. Married August 18, 1950 to Emil L. Bartel.

Betty is survived by husband of 62 years, Emil; sons: Bob (Tanis) of Baxter, Bill (Diane) of Wisconsin; daughters: Linda of Pine River, Leona of Rochester, Melody (Kyle) Biggar of Robbinsdale, Arline of Washington, Donna of Grand Rapids; 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; sisters: June Velsvaag of Pine River, Grace King of Backus; brothers: Ladd of Washington, Chuck of North Dakota, and Leland of Winona.

Preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Lester, Kenneth, Gene.

Celebration service will be 1 PM, Sunday, June 10, at Riverview Church, Pine River, with visitation/luncheon to follow in fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Riverview Church Children's VBS will be appreciated.
