Betty Anderson, age 93, formerly of Minneapolis, MN, died peacefully at Edgewood Vista Assisted Living in Brainerd, MN on December 14.
She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Ken; son, Jim (Sheri) Anderson; daughter, Elaine (John) Brett; grandchildren: Donna (Karin) Zelinsky, Butch Zelinsky, Scott (Tami) Anderson, Anne (Jimmy) Long, John "Jay" Brett, Alexis Brett; great grandchildren: Logan Zelinsky, Dani and Viki Anderson, Chad and Eric McKay, Mitchell and Adam Long, Marina Bacon, and Luca Irace; nieces: Jackie (Gayle) Anderson, Kay Draves; nephew, Dell Draves; and special friends, Dave and Diane Almich.
Betty retired from Honeywell where she was active in Honeybelles. Betty was also a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Betty was probably most known for her warm heart and open arms to hug all she met. She loved everyone!
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Pastor Diane of Grace United Methodist Church, Betty's doctor of many decades, Stephen Hanske, the staff at St. Joseph's Medical Center and, especially to Betty's family at Edgewood Vista Assisted Living.
A combined celebration of life service for Ken (passed away on August 20, 2017) and Betty will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, Pequot Lakes, MN. Service at noon on Saturday October 7, 2017. Visitation one hour prior to service. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers, to Grace United Methodist Church, PO Box 276, Pequot Lakes, MN 56472.
