Bessie Janeck

Bessie I. Janeck, age 79, of Brainerd died on Saturday, May 26, 2001 at the Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Francis Catholic Church of Brainerd on Wednesday, May 30, at 10:00 AM, with Reverend Father Seamus Walsh officiating. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd. Arrangements are with Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
Bessie Simonson Janeck was born on February 19, 1922 in Brainerd, to Osmund and Caroline (Rifen) Simonson. She grew up and attended school in Brainerd. She was married to Joseph Janeck and raised her family in Brainerd. Most recently she had been a resident at the Bethany Good Samaritan Village. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, the Moose Lodge, and the VFW Auxiliary.

Bessie Janeck is survived by her daughter Frances (Bob) Sypnieski of Sacramento, CA; a sister Esther Janeck of Brainerd; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother Frank Simonson, and a sister Marie Simonson Fisher.
