Bennie Knaack

Bennie Knaack, 90, of Brainerd, passed away on November 17, 2021.

Bennie Lee Knaack (Leard) was born to Otis Leard and Crystal Jennings on November 8th, 1931, in Stringtown, Oklahoma. She suffered many losses in her family due to the Great Dust Bowl. Her family eventually relocated to the Pacific Northwest. She became a chef at an early age enjoying the restaurant business wherever she lived. Her favorite memory was working at Timberlane Lodge in Park Rapids, Mn. She also offered her cooking talents to the meals on wheels program in many communities. The final years of work for her were at Barnabas home care in Brainerd, where she was a personal care giver for many people. She loved to spoil them with her cooking skills. At the end of her life, she wanted everyone to know how much God loves them. She talked about her amazing children and grandchildren and how much of a blessing they all are to her.

She is survived by her 7 children Terrie, Alan, Ramona, Katherine, Constance, Karen and Caroline. Many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are with Brenny Family Funeral Home in Baxter, Mn.

Visitation is 10:00 a.m. at the Brenny Family Funeral Home in Baxter followed by a service at 11 a.m, a light luncheon will be provided following the service, on Monday, November 22, 2021. Interment will be at the Riverside Cemetery in Osage, Mn. At approximately 3:00 p.m. Osage, Mn is located 8 miles west of Park Rapids Riverside Cemetery: 24275 Washington Dr Osage, Mn.
