Bennard Lang

Bennard BenJ. Lang, 83, of Baxter, died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Edgewood Vista Assisted Living in Brainerd, MN. Services for Ben will be 11 AM, Saturday, February 14 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Friends are welcome to gather one hour prior. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
Ben was born January 23, 1926 at Lake Lillian, MN, the son of John and Mary (Heckman) Lang. In 1947, Ben was united in marriage to Audrey Schroeder. The couple dairy farmed in Minnesota and Wisconsin, before settling in Twin Cities where Ben worked for Tennant Manufacturing for over 25 years. Following his retirement in 1988, they moved to Upper South Long Lake where they resided for ten years. Later they moved to Baxter where he was a resident until his death.

Ben was an active member of Heartland Alliance Church. He also enjoyed fishing, wood working, gardening, and hunting.

Ben will be missed by his wife, Audrey; his children, Gary (Ruth) Lang, of Motley, Dale (Sue) Lang, of Elk River, and Lori (Brad) Olson, of Park Ridge, IL; sisters, Lona Dallman, Lois Andreen, and Marian Lang; brother, Orvis Lang; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roger; and sisters, Phyllis and Margaret.
