Beatrice BeaLaRose was born on Feb. 6, 1917, in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Charles and Irene (Aubin) Hoppe. She was called from this life on Sunday, July 16 in her home by The Riverat Pillager, MN, at the age of 89 years, 5 months, and 10 days.
Bea grew up in St. Paul, MN, and on August 21, 1937, she was united in marriage to Bernard LaRose. To this union two daughters, Claudette and Denise, were born. The couple made their home in St. Paul and then Maplewood until Bernard retired in 1974 and they moved to Pillager on the Crow Wing River. Bea and Bernard were able to share 44 years of marriage together before his death in 1981. She chose to live in her home on the river until her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Irene; her daughter, Denise Disterhaupt; a grand daughter, Becky Jo Maniard and a brother, William Hoppe. Bea is mourned in passing by her daughter, Claudette Hazel of Pillager; her grandchildren, Mark Hazel, Rob Hazel, Kristine Zeleny, Tim Hazel, Ed Hazel, Kari Prichard, and Marie Rae Disterhaupt; she was also survived by her 18 great grandchildren; and a sister, Muriel Todd-Gierster of New Brighton
