Beatrice Buckley

Beatrice J. Buckley, 93, formerly of Nisswa, died Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Edgewood Vista Assisted Living in Brainerd. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Nisswa. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services. Interment will take place at 3:30PM on Monday at St. Catherine's Catholic Cemetery in Richmond, MN. Memorials preferred.

Beatrice was born in Farming, MN on December 27, 1918. She attended Faribault School for the Deaf and graduated in 1940. At school she met Darrell Buckley and they married on October 30, 1943 at St Ann's Church in Wadena, MN. The couple made their home in Minneapolis where they raised their children, Bill and Erma. Darrell passed away in 1969. Beatrice and Erma moved to Wadena to be near relatives. In 1984, Beatrice moved to Nisswa, MN to be near Erma and her husband, Bruce. Beatrice helped raise her grandchildren and gave them all her love and attention. Beatrice's brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews meant a lot to her. She was proud of all of them. She loved to visit her family in Richmond and spend time at BJ's cabin.

She will be missed by her daughter, Erma (Bruce) London; grandchildren, Michele (Andy Schneider) Buckley, Jill (Peter) London Rohling, Connie (Marus) London Mailand, and Bruce Darrell London; sisters, Rita Krebes, Edna (John) Krebes, Jan (Jack) Schmitz, and Alice (Dick) Voit; brother, Harold (Marilyn) Brinkman; sisters-in-law, Viola Brinkman, Ruth Brinkman, Gladys (Gervase) Richter, and Marie Bloch; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Buckley; son, Bill Buckley; daughter-in-law, Cindy Buckley; parents, Bernard and Theresia Brinkman; brothers, BJ Brinkman and Tom Brinkman; and step-mother, Verena Brinkman.
