Barry Johnson

Barry D. Johnson, 67, of Nisswa, died Thursday, June 11, 2009 at St. Josephs Medical Center in Brainerd. Services for Barry will be 2 PM, Sunday, June 28, 2009 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with Elder Roger Blomberg officiating.
Barry was born January 5, 1942 in Minneapolis, the son of Norman and Pearl (Schardin) Johnson. He was united in marriage to Loreli Arntzen in 1969. He worked for 32 years at Milhoff Steel in Bloomington, MN before retiring to North Long Lake near Brainerd and Brownsville, TX. Barry enjoyed the outdoors and traveling.

He will be missed by his wife of 40 years, Loreli; his son, James JimJohnson and his wife, Dawn who held a very special place in Barrys heart, of Nisswa; his daughters, Lorelei R. Johnson, of Bloomington, and LeeAnn R. Johnson, of Prior Lake; six grandchildren, Nichole, Max, Kali, Alyssa, and Nadean Johnson and Naomi (Brian) Rupp; two sisters, Nyla (Jerry) Skogland, of Baxter and Ethel (Jack) Bartosh, of Pine River; two nieces, Cindy Hewitt, of Brainerd and Sherri (Dave) Goedker, of Guatamala; four nephews, Roger, Tom, and Dale (Linda) of Bloomington; and Rick (Bea) Bartosh, of Brainerd; his Hawaiian family, the Guerreros; and many Texan friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved pet, Boots.
