Barbara "Barb" Joan Wisneski, age 64, of Fort Ripley, passed away at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis on September 15, 2012.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at St. Mathias Catholic Church in St. Mathias Township. Family and friends are welcome to gather Tuesday, September 18 from 3-8 PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, as well as one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. The Elk's Lodge of Sorrow Service will take place at 7:45 PM on Tuesday evening at the funeral chapel. Private Interment at a later date.

Barb was born August 6, 1948, in Foley, MN, the daughter of Stephen and Isabel (Stahovich) Imbiorski. She graduated from Foley High School in 1966 and the St. Cloud Hospital, School of Nursing in 1969 with a Registered Nursing diploma. She furthered her education by obtaining a Bachelor of Health and Arts Degree from St. Francis College in 1978. On June 20, 1970 she married Herman Wisneski and they moved to Proctor, MN where she worked at the Nopeming Nursing Home. In 1974, the couple moved to Brainerd Lakes Area and Barb worked at the Brainerd Regional Treatment Center for seven years before starting at Bethany Good Samaritan nursing home where she worked until her retirement in 2010. Still wanting to by busy, Barb worked as an educational aide for the Baxter School. The couple moved to Fort Ripley in 1978. Barb was an EMT for the Fort Ripley/St. Mathias First Responders. She was involved in both Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts in the area and district. She was member of Brainerd Elks Lodge #615 and was serving as the Lodge Loyal Knight.

Barb is survived by her husband, Herman; sons, Jeff (Shannon) of Pierz, MN; Brian (Patty) of Bettendorf, IA; five grandchildren, Eric, Ryan, and Kaylee, of Pierz, and Mackenzie and Ashton, of Bettendorf; brother, William (Patsy) Imbiorski, of Foley; and sister, Clo Mary (John) Skotterud, of Circle Pines, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Isabel Imbiorski.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
