Barb Horn

Barbara Rae Horn, 76, of Pillager, died at her home Thursday, February 18, 2016. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Motley Free Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services.

Barb was born May 4, 1939, in Tintah, MN, the daughter of Raymond and Lydian (Jenkins) Koltes. At an early age, Barb and her family moved to the Motley Area where Barb graduated from high school. In 1958, she was united in marriage to David Jennings Horn. The couple made their home in rural Pillager where Barb enjoyed her life as a homemaker - especially baking and cooking for her family. She was very crafty and liked to spend time making afghans, knitting, and crocheting. As a youth she enjoyed roller-skating and ice-skating. Barb was an avid reader - her favorite genre was Christian Novels. Above all, Barb was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her the most joy in life.

She will be missed by her husband, David; children, Bonna (Rick) Olson, of Minneapolis, Bianca (Bill) Wyffels, of Pillager, Brian (Sherrie) Horn, of Motley, Timothy (Patty) Horn, of Pillager, Randy (Julia) Horn, of St. Michael, and Thomas (Linette) Horn of Dresser, WI; brother, Richard Koltes; seventeen grandchildren, Spencer Olson, Evan Olson, Brea (Alex) Petry, Andrew (Lisa) Wyffels, Dr. Mitchell (Joelle) Wyffels, Bridgette (Earl) Brown, Tyler (Jessica) Horn, Joshua (Tiffany) Horn, Caleb (Naomi) Horn, Hannah Horn, Eli Horn, Jacob (Erin) Horn, Benjamin (Elizabeth) Horn, Kayla Horn, Zachary Horn, Daniel Horn, Noah Horn; and ten great-grandchildren, Gwendlynne Brown, Earl Brown, Francis "Frank" Brown, Edison Wyffels, Lydian Wyffels, Brynn Wyffels, Ryder Horn, Judah Horn, Uriah Horn, and Gabriel Horn. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Thomas and Kenneth.
