Audrey Lang

Audrey Vivianne Lang, 92, died Friday, May 13, 2016 at Good Samaritan Bethany in Brainerd, MN. A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM, Friday, July 8 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Friends and family are welcome to gather an hour prior. After the service a luncheon will be served in the Brenny Funeral Chapel Reception Room, followed by the interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens for those who would like to join the family.

Audrey was born September 11, 1923 in Paynesville, MN the daughter of long standing farmers, Benjamin and Florence (Schultz) Schroeder. Audrey graduated from St. Paul Bible Institute in 1944 with a degree in Christian Education. In 1947, Audrey married Bennard Lang.

The couple dairy farmed in Minnesota and Wisconsin before settling in the Twin Cites where Audrey used her degree as a Nursery School Director at Northbrook Alliance Church for over 18 years. Following her retirement, they moved to Upper South Long Lake where they resided for 10 years. Later they moved to Baxter/Brainerd area where she resided until her death.

Audrey was an active member of Heartland Alliance Church. She was actively involved in various ministries of the Christian & Missionary Alliance denomination for much of her life. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and had the gift of hospitality.

Audrey will be missed by her children, Gary (Ruth) Lang of Motley, Dale (Sue) Lang of Elk River, and Lori (Brad) Olson of Park Ridge, IL; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great- grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bennard; sisters, Virginia and Dorothy; and one brother, Arthur.
