Arthur W. Maske, 69, of Baxter, died at his home Wednesday, September 28, 2011 with his loved ones by his side. Services for Arthur will be held at 1:30, Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with Jim Grossman officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services.
He was born February 24, 1942 in St. Paul, MN, the son of Arthur and Edna (Larkin) Maske. Arthur was a devoted husband, father and grandpa, and great grandpa who loved taking his family on vacations and camping trips. Arthur really enjoyed hunting and fishing, when his health no longer allowed him to do those, he was always known for cutting the grass. Arthur and Judy were part of Dry Riders and Goldwing motorcycle clubs and enjoyed going on long biking trips. Arthur also became a part of what we call the Westside Group (a bunch of friends gathering together at Westside café). The one thing that always put a smile on Arthur's face was his grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Arthur is survived by his wife Judy (Carner); children, Cindy (Ramig), Mike Maske, Patty (Soderman), Paula Maske; brother, Leo Maske; 10 Grandchildren, Travis Hettver, Travin Simmonds, Tanner Maske, Jennifer Mongan (Soderman), Kayla Ramig, Brittney Maske, Jamie Soderman, Courtney Lodermeire, and Alexa Simmonds; and three great grandsons Grady and Brody Mongan and Ayden Ramig. He will also be remembered my many close friends. Arthur is preceded in death by his parents; and sisters Darlene Hannahs and Edna Mertens.
The family would like to express many thanks to the clergy, Hospice caregivers, friends and family who helped Arthur in his final days with us here on earth.
