Arthur Larson, age 92, of Crosslake, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2007, at St. Josephs Medical Center in Brainerd. No services are scheduled at this time.
Arthur Gilbert Lawrence Larson was born on November 15, 1914, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Hans and Brita (Lindquist) Larson. He grew up and attended school there. On September 12, 1922, he was united in marriage to Ruby Riis in St. Paul. To this union 3 sons were born. Arthur worked for Thermo King manufacturing as a Test Technician for their transportation refrigeration equipment for many years. In 1969 they purchased their home near Crosslake, moving there permanently when he retired.
Arthur was a member of the Crosslake-Ideal Lions Club. Among the things he enjoyed were woodworking, painting ceramic Christmas villages, and car racing including the Lions ice racing and his grandsons go-kart races.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hans and Brita; brothers, Erick and Gustaf; grandson, Nathan; and Great grand daughter, Kelsey. Arthur is mourned in passing by his loving wife of 65 years, Ruby; sons, Dennis (Violet) Larson of Timber Lake, SD, Randy (Pam) Larson, and Lonnie (Linda) Larson both of Eden Prairie, MN; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
