Arnold Kes

Arnold E. Kes, of Baxter, died at his home Tuesday, June 16, 2009. Services for Arnie will be 11 AM, Friday, June 19, 2009 at Price of Peace Lutheran Church in Baxter. Family and friends are also welcome to visit Thursday evening from 5-7 PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Brainerd.
Arnold was born October 29, 1940 in New Prague, MN, the son of Emil and Carol (Puncochar) Kes. He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Will in 1964. He worked for a number of years in various construction and maintenance positions. He was an avid bowler who enjoyed visits to the casino and pull-tabs. He liked to spend time outdoors: gardening, doing yard work, or feeding deer. His favorite TV programs were Westerns and cooking shows. His grandchildren affectionately referred to him as G-Pa.

He will be missed by his children, Kim (Terry) Faust, Terri (Joe) Erickson, and Tammy (Kevin) Hedlund; his grandchildren, Sara, Katie, Brandon, Kalli Rose, Sami, and Kyle; his step-grandchildren, Joe and Elin; his sisters, Margie (Glen) Schoenbauer, Darlene Jewison, Jan (Rich) Schultz, and LaVonne Dahlstrom; his brothers, Donny (Diane) Kes and Duane Kes; his sister-in-law, Carol Kes; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann; his parents; and his brother, Roger.
