Armond A. Gease, 84, Crosslake, MN, died Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Bethany Good Samaritan Society Home in Brainerd, MN. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, November 22nd at the Mission of the Cross Church in Crosslake, with Pastor Leslie Uhrinak officiating, there will be visitation for one hour before the service.
Armond was born on July 21, 1932 in Garfield, MN, to Alfred and Elsie (Scheuneman) Gease. The family lived at Garfield until he was twelve, when they moved into Alexandria. He graduated from Alexandria High School in 1949. Following graduation, he worked with his sister and her husband in their restaurant in Alexandria. He was united in marriage with Patricia “Pat” Adams on July 23, 1955 at Frazee. They moved to Minneapolis, where they lived until 1959, when they moved to Crystal. Armond worked for Stark Electronics, fixing TV’s, working in the parts department and eventually serving as general manager. In 1977, he began working as a salesman for Kodo Electronics and in 1981, he began working with GC Electronics as an salesman. He and Pat moved to Crosslake in 1987 and Armond retired in 1994. His wife, Pat, died on August 23, 2004
He was a master handyman at whatever he turned his attention to, including woodworking, electronics and motors (small and large).
Armond is survived by two children: Dorette (John) Gease-Clark of Glenn Heights, Texas and Brian (Michelle) Gease of Big Lake; two grandchildren: Spencer Gease of Lino Lakes and Cory Gease of Big Lake; two in-laws: Evelyn Gease of Alexandria and Alvin Tvrdik of Alexandria. He was preceded in death by his parents: Alfred and Elsie Gease; siblings: Earl, Florella and Viola; and his wife, Pat.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel of Crosslake.
