Arlys June

Arlys J. June, 69, died on Friday, August 12, 2016 in Midland, MI. Services for Arlys will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 3:00PM with visitation beginning at 2:30PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN. A luncheon will be held at 4:30PM at Pequot American Legion in Pequot Lakes, MN.

Arlys was born on April 10, 1947 in Lake George, MN to Orlen and Pernilla (Carson) Kahlstorf. She was raised in Lake George, MN and graduated from LaPorte High School. She attended cosmetology school at Upper Midwest Beauty Academy. Arlys owned and operated her own salons in Elk River, Blaine, and Breezy Point and in the last few years she worked at Nisswa Hair Salon. Arlys married Dick June in 1987 in Coon Rapids, MN, who passed away 16 years ago. She was a fun loving and vivacious lady who enjoyed motorcycling with her companion, Greg. Arlys had other passions, including gardening, was an amazing cook, and loved animals. She especially loved her dog, Max, who was a big part of her life.

Arlys is survived by her boyfriend, Greg Lazorack; daughter, Nikki (Layne) Mercer of Midland, MI; grandchildren, P.J. (Josiah) Kahl of Midland, MI, Gigi (Jake) Boucher of Davenport, IA, and Wayde Mercer of Midland, MI; sister, Linda (Odell) of Aransas Pass, TX; brothers, Leon (Darlene) of Duluth, MN, Myron Kahlstorf of Champlin, MN, Carroll (Paulette) of Zimmerman, MN, Vern (Flo) of Lake George, MN, Lloyd (Shelley) of Lake George, MN, Gordy of North Branch, MN, and David (Pam) of Lake George, MN; sister-in-law, Carol Kahlstorf of LaPorte, MN; and many nieces, nephews, and very close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orlen and Pernilla (Carson) Kahlstorf; first husband, Larry Israels; second husband, Dick June; son, Dean Israels; brother, Roland Kahlstorf; and sister, Shirley Kahlstorf. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
