Annabelle Loftis

Annabelle Loftis, 65, of Pillager, died Thursday, December 20, 2007 at the Lakewood Health Systems Health Center in Staples after a brave fight with cancer. Funeral Services for Annabelle will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 22 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Friends are welcome to gather at 11:30 AM Saturday morning. Interment will follow services at Swan Valley Cemetery near Leader, MN.
Annabelle was born September 10, 1942 in Pillager, MN, the daughter of Jefferson and Margaret (Carver) Hines. She attended Pillager High School. She was united in marriage to Douglas Loftis on July 9, 1962 in Spirit Lake, IA. Annabelle worked for her daughters cleaning business.

Annabelle will be missed by her husband, Douglas Loftis; daughter, Heavenly Smith, of Pillager; son, Scott Loftis, of Leader; mother, Margaret Schubel; five sisters, Bertha Anderson, of Brainerd, Shirley Hines, of Brainerd, Evelyn Ruhl, of Nisswa, MN, Betty Berg, of Brainerd, and Ruth Smith, of Brainerd; five grandchildren, Samone Smith, Zachary Smith, Ryan Loftis, Trevor Engholm, and Ashley Johnson; and four great-grandchildren, Dylan Johnson, Morgan Johnson, Izabella Engholm, and Gwenivere Engholm. She was preceded in death by her father, Jefferson Hines and her two brothers, Clarence Hines and Ervin Hines.
