Anna Kern

Anna Marie Kern, age 71, passed away in her home on January 2, 2013. Anna was a long-time resident of the Twin Cities but spent her last several years in Hackensack, MN where she lived with her beloved husband, Bertram "Bert" Kern. Anna met Bert on a bike ride in Brooklyn Park. They later married and lived happily together, until Bert's death in February of 2012.
Anna was an active beloved member of the Hackensack Community. When she wasn't busy working at her business, "Body Rhythms", Anna volunteered at the Senior Center, the Hackensack Legion, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and she was an active member of the Cass County Triad Program.
Anna was a shining, welcoming presence who had the gift of lifting the spirits of anyone she encountered. She was always ready with a smile and a hug for whoever might need one. Anna was a dear and loyal friend to many, many people. Her bright blue eyes, impish smile, compassionate spirit, and playful nature will be greatly missed.
Anna is survived by her children: Michael Bungert (Karmen) and Laura Cope (Richard); stepchildren: shane Kern, Shawn Kern, Heidi Kern (Owen); grandchildren Ashley Cope and Sherry Kern; sisters Mary Dennis (Ron) and Nancy Clark (Tom).
Anna was preceded in Death by her parents Lawrence and Margeret Tchida, and her husband, Bert.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2013, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hackensack, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Memorials are preferred to the Family of Anna Kern.
