Anna Johanning

Anna Blanchard Johanning, age 77, of Pine River, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at home surrounded by her family. She was born to George Dewey and Alice Maxson on November 15, 1936, in Winnebago, MN.

Anna is survived by her children: Richard Blanchard (Donna), Jimmy Dale Blanchard (Carol), Howard Blanchard (Jill), Violet LeFebvre (Brad), Kaylene Long (Mark), Susan Christensen (Tim), Buzz Johanning (Tina), Claudette Holder (Al); siblings: George Maxson, Dale Maxson (Dianna), Merlyn Maxson (Donna), Carol Kading (Bernie); sister-in-law, Eleanor Blanchard; 28 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; special lifelong friends: Trudy Ufford, Helen Dwire, JoAnn Beaner, Muriel Beaner and many more friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Claude Blanchard, Jr.; second husband, James "Bud" Johanning; daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Pat Borman; daughter-in-law, Grace Blanchard; infant sister, Joyce Ann Maxson; sister, Phyllis Maxson Skinner; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Neuenschwander and Betty Bailey; infant great grandson, Connor Rokke; and nephew, Joey Maxson.

Services will be 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 4, at First Lutheran Church, Pine River. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Pine River. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
